Why Are We Always Busy?
My guidance counselor once asked me, why is that our generation is always-on-the-go? And I answered truthfully, "I don't really know about the others, ma'am, but basing on my schedule, I really have to keep on moving."Here's my schedule from last school year:
It was really fully loaded. Lots of subject to take, each of them gave us an assignment, research, plates, and so on. Mostly, we crammed everything to the last minute. I'm not going to teach you how not to cram or such thing. Answers are always simple when we try not to complicate things. To stop cramming, we just have to discipline ourselves, right? The thing is, it's to hard to discipline ourselves. Easy to say, hard to execute.
What I'm trying to say is, we we're always busy doing something that we forget to see what we we're really looking for and what we have to really see. For example, I was too busy to myself, I can't wait to get a bit older to start working and be successful. I was too focused on myself that I forgot that my parents isn't getting any younger either. I didn't even notice that my brother was also doing good in his job.
I'm not saying to slack in what we have to do, but sometimes we tend to forget why are we doing things that we have to do and become lost somewhere in the way. Just a simple advice, try to step back, see the whole picture, remind ourselves and breathe.
